Run a half marathon!
Certified coaches will help train you on a 12 week schedule to help you meet your half marathon goal. This group is targeted for those who have never run a half marathon before but may have some 5K or 10K experience in the past. This is also a great chance to meet other cool motivated runners in the area!
Our first informational meeting with be held at Fitgeek Sports 21000 Stevens Creek #200 (between Ikes and Panda Express) at 9 am on Saturday, January 19th. Further group training will take place twice a week on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm and on Sunday morning at 9am. The Wednesday runs will last about one hour and will focus on technique, speed, and power. The Sunday runs will focus on building endurance. As the training progresses, long runs will last two hours or longer.
The first official day of training will start on Sunday, January 27th at 9 am. We will run on the Stevens Creek Trail in Mountain View. Meet at 177 W. El Camino Real next to the Burger King.
